Meiska Irena Pramudhita, Indonesia for Humanity (Indonesia)
At Indonesia untuk Kemanusiaan / Indonesia for Humanity (IKa), we are commencing our journey towards the Summit. This is happening under the banner of Forum Belajar Sumber Daya Baru / New Resources Learning Forum (FAJAR). In Indonesia, as in many parts of the world, aid has played a pivotal role in addressing urgent needs, fostering development and aiding communities in times of crisis. However, the landscape of aid and resources in Indonesia, like elsewhere, has its challenges. Limited autonomy and unequal power relations have been recurring themes in the aid narrative.
As we stride forward with FAJAR, we do so with an understanding of these nuances. Through FAJAR, we are determined to unravel these complexities by fostering vital conversations about decolonizing aid, renewing resources for civil society organizations (CSOs), and addressing the sustainability challenges faced by community philanthropy organizations. FAJAR provides a unique opportunity to gather and disseminate invaluable insights from Indonesian CSOs that have traversed the intricate landscape of aid and resource mobilization. These carefully harvested insights will serve as our contribution to the global discourse at the Summit.
As we embark on this journey, our commitment to challenging the status quo as well as our unwavering belief in the transformative power of equitable and sustainable resources stand as a testament to the immense potential of CSOs to reshape the aid and resource allocation landscape, one conversation at a time.
